The CJ Stewart Foundation and its camp location Down Range is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by CJ Stewart. CJ was a high school student athlete at Madison Ridgeland Academy and a medic for the 502nd Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division from 2009-2007. He is no a combat-wounded Purple Heart Recipient who received a second chance at life.
The vision for Down Range is to facilitate a year-long outdoor adventure camp that offers camp rentals for the community to participate in military-themed challenges and outdoor activities in a wilderness setting. Down Range serves many different types of groups that benefit from camp-style facilitation, and it is a Christ-centered operation that teaches a biblically-themed curriculum that coulee be received and applied by any participant that visits Down Range. The camp promotes self-change and growth through overcoming adversity, and it challenges participants physically, emotionally and spiritually. Positive life change is often a result of a person's experience at Down Range.
